OEASE didn't start with a business plan. It started with frustration.
Our founding team ran student organizations, community nonprofits, and volunteer groups for years. We know the feeling of cross-referencing Venmo transactions at midnight. We know what it's like to rebuild your organization's infrastructure from scratch every time leadership changes. We know the exhaustion of spending 80% of your energy on logistics and 20% on the mission that brought you here in the first place.
We built OEASE because we were the community leaders who needed something like it — and nothing existed that treated our organizations as worthy of real, professional tools without charging enterprise prices.

Why It's Free — And Why That Matters
We get asked this constantly. How can you give all of this away?
The short answer: community organizations shouldn't have to choose between paying for software and funding their mission. A student club with a $2,000 annual budget shouldn't spend $500 on tools. A nonprofit running on volunteer energy shouldn't fund a SaaS subscription before funding their programs.
We sustain the platform through a small 1.3% fee on payment transactions processed through Stripe. If your organization collects dues, sells tickets, or accepts donations through OEASE, a small percentage goes toward keeping the platform running. If you never process payments through us, you never pay us anything — and you still get every feature.
This model means our success is directly tied to yours. We don't make money from locking features behind a paywall or charging per seat. We make money when your organization is active, growing, and using the platform to do the things that matter.
We believe this is the only honest way to serve the organizations we care about.

- Financial tools — Double-entry accounting with budget pockets so your treasurer always knows what's available vs. what's committed. Record income and expenses, attach receipts, generate reports. Transactions are never deleted — only voided — preserving a complete audit trail.
- Membership dues — Create campaigns with multiple pricing tiers, collect payments through Stripe, and watch membership statuses update automatically. Members get professional payment links and email receipts.
- Announcements — Draft, schedule, and broadcast to your entire organization or targeted groups by department, team, or individual members.
- Roles & permissions — Define custom roles with granular access control. Give your treasurer access to finances without exposing member data.
- Organization structure — Departments and teams with hierarchy. Assign members across multiple groups.
